Painting Steps

Skeletal Structure

  • • Apply a basecoat of Skeleton Bone to all bone areas.
  • • Wash the entire skeleton with Soft Tone to define the ribs and joints.
  • • Highlight the skull and fingers with Pale Sand .

Clothing and Bandana

  • • Paint the shirt with Brainmatter Beige and shade with Light Tone . Highlight with Matt White .
  • • Base the pants with Uniform Grey , wash with Dark Tone , and edge highlight with Ash Grey .
  • • Paint the bandana with Dragon Red . Layer Pure Red on the folds and use Raging Rose for the sharpest edges.

Weathered Wood and Metal

  • • Paint the barrel and boots with Oak Brown .
  • • Apply a heavy wash of Strong Tone to the barrel.
  • • Dab Leather Brown in lines to simulate wood grain.
  • • Paint the metal bands with Gun Metal and sponge on Fresh Rust sparsely for an aged look.

The Glass Bottle

  • • Paint the bottle with Angel Green .
  • • Glaze the upper sections with Wild Green to create a translucent effect.
  • • Apply Zealot Yellow inside the bottom of the bottle to represent the liquid.

Basing

  • • Coat the base in Desert Yellow .
  • • Paint the small rocks with Ash Grey and shade with Strong Tone .
