Painting Steps
Basecoating
- • Apply Deathworld Forest to all skin areas.
- • Paint the mask with Mephiston Red.
- • Use Zandri Dust for the front shell and Rakarth Flesh for the bandages.
- • Base the belt and knee pads with Rhinox Hide.
Shading and Recesses
- • Wash the skin with Biel-Tan Green to define muscle volume.
- • Apply Seraphim Sepia to the shell and Agrax Earthshade to the red mask and bandages.
- • Use Nuln Oil on the belt and knee pads for deep shadows.
Layering and Highlights
- • Layer Elysian Green on the raised skin areas, leaving the darker wash in the creases.
- • Highlight the skin with thin lines of Moot Green on the eyebrows, chin, and muscle peaks.
- • Brighten the mask folds with Evil Sunz Scarlet.
- • Clean up the bandages with Pallid Wych Flesh on the most exposed edges.
Details and Metal
- • Paint the Sai daggers and belt buckle with Leadbelcher, then wash with Nuln Oil.
- • Highlight the metal edges with Stormhost Silver for a sharp look.
- • Paint the eyes with a tiny dot of White Scar for a focused, pupilless look.
